The App

Grammar Trainer is a new version of an existing, web-based application to help autistic children with English grammar. Combining current web and Apple iPad technologies, this version of Grammar Trainer adds exciting new graphics to the established learning functionality for an entirely new experience. The iPad application takes advantage of the benefits of a touch screen device. The intuitive interface with drag and drop functionality is easy and fun for children to use. Each exercise gives the child a short prompt and asks them a question. Children can easily create a sentence by moving any word wherever they want. In order to help the child answer the question, each prompt is accompanied by a short animation. These animations are constructed from a combination of 2D backgrounds and 3D characters and assets.
